Pursuing her passion for textiles and fibres, Bobbin’s journey began in 1999 when Dilek Aksu, setting out to explore her belief in traditional artisanal methods and values, discovered a small weaving workshop in a village in the Aegean. Combining unusual color combinations and patterns on traditional hand-weaving looms, and using mostly silk yarns, Aksu aimed to bring a new perspective to home textiles by producing modern, timeless and original fabrics.

As well as fabric production, Bobbin offers specially designed items such as curtains, rugs, bedspreads, and pillows. Bobbin’s multi-faceted design sensibility also facilitates its contribution to special projects, in collaboration with architects, to transform textiles into an integral part of living spaces.

In a further step in our development, Bobbin’s custom designed and handcrafted products have now been curated to create the BOBBIN LIVING brand to take our 20 years of design and production experience into a new marketplace.

Our passion for silk, linen, and cotton embraces the tradition of weaving, our respect for nature, and our knowledge of local handicraft, and constitutes the basis of our original designs and products, which aim to add meaning and beauty to your life.
